I have such a treat and a passion project to share today. We were asked to be part of a fabulous styled editorial shoot with the theme of ‘friendsgiving’ in collaboration with some very talented food bloggers in the area. Nichole, the mastermind behind the whole thing is obsessed with FRIENDS. (We have this in common and Evan and I watch the whole series every year). Don’t you love how they always did a Thanksgiving episode every season? Our group of friends did a Friendsgiving once and it was so wonderful. Lots of fun, and even though that year did end in a pie fight (completely amicable of course) it was completely drama free. Wheyey better than regular family Thanksgivings. They do say friends are the family you choose after all. Well Nichole’s idea for this shoot was to do have friends getting together for a less traditional but very fun event and really make the whole thing a group collaboration. The inspiration was jewel tones, earthy details and of course amazing food. Getting involved in the shoot early on, I got to bring in a couple of my favorite local wedding & event vendors and also work with some I’d been admiring from afar for the first time. It was such a labor of love and I adore the way the whole thing turned out. Here was our amazing vendor team:
Planning and Event Concept: Casa de Crews | Rentals (table, place settings, driftwood chargers): Set Event Rentals |Rentals (chairs): The Reserve Vintage Rentals | Florals: Belle Fleur Studio | Venue: Creative Loafing Event Space | Paper Products: Tiny Prints
And now for the other side of the talent: the recipe crafters. We kept the photos super secret until the big reveal today and you can visit each blogger’s site for each of their parts in the shoot. Each of these amazing ladies created one or more recipes to share, and trust me you should make some of these part of your Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving) celebration. Here are the links to all the scrumptious recipes:
First Course:
Cheese Plate with Figs and Honey by Casa de Crews
Cranberry and Goat Cheese Crostini by Casa de Crews
Second Course:
Harvest Kale Salad by Supper for a Steal
Entree:
Turkey with Dressing by Out of the Weeds
Brussels Sprouts with Pancetta Caesar Salad by An Appealing Plan by Krayl Funch
Spinach Gratin by Casa de Crews
Dessert:
No Bake Pumpkin Pie by Happily Audrey
Bundt Cake with a Cream Cheese Drizzle by Melissa Creates
Pear Sangria by The Flair Exchange
Now without further adieu, the entire styled shoot!
So which recipe do you think you’ll be most likely to try? And how cute are the garlands from The Flair Exchange?! These are hanging in Remy’s room now and overtime we play with them she yells “party!”
