Hopefully you caught Lindsey & Michael’s colorful day after session last week, I’ve been dying to share the full wedding but wanted to wait for our new website launch. These two had a stunning beach ceremony and reception at The Sirata on St. Pete Beach. The timing of this one was so cool because it was just one week before our 10 year wedding anniversary and in the same place we had our wedding. I have no doubt that it was fate for these guys to be in our life. I want every wedding day and wedding party to be just like this one. They had a neutral color palette of black and white with navy plus pops of greenery (Pantone’s color of the year) throughout the tropical bouquets and decor. Lindsey had some heirloom bridal details like the purse her grandmother carried at her wedding and brooches of her wedding photo for her, her sister and her mom. The something blue was Johnny Walker Blue Label (at the bride’s request) and everything about their style was classic and elegant. From Lindsey’s ballerina up-do to her bold pink lip, it really completed the romance of her layered skirt. Look through and read on for more details!
The first look! Everything from Michael’s face to the way he twirled her and the tears had us bawling big time.
Lindsey surprised Mike with a second pocket square- STAR WARS! and he was thrilled as was Evan. We actually did separate portraits of him at the day after session (but including them here).
It did rain but we rearranged some portraits to make everything happen. Such a perfect example of being a little flexible with the timeline and it totally paying off. Just before the ceremony we all wiped down chairs so they could still get married with a view of the beach. And in return, Florida gave us a beautiful sunset.
Oh and that cake. Seriously, they are such a perfect combination of unassuming geek, y’all! Lindsey surprised him with a Zelda themed cake from The Artistic Whisk and the detail was incredible. Congrats again Lindsey & Mike, we friggin’ love you guys!!!
