It’s been a while since I posted some film work and we have been processing a lot of film lately! Back during my trip to WPPI one of my main goals was to find a new film lab to send our film to. I wasn’t quite thrilled with what we were getting from our local lab and some friends recommended The Find Lab to me. So I made an appointment with them and I am so happy with their amazing service and the quality of our film scans now. They provided me with great tips for working with film and provided feedback for me with recommendations of film to try. I’m still experimenting with different types but I have really fallen in love with Portra 400, which is what I shot on our trip to the Florida Keys for Amanda & Robin’s wedding. When I shoot film at a wedding I usually only take a roll or two, focusing on our digital work and using film as a bonus- to see the way it captures the same lighting scenarios and for giving another dimension to the wedding day. I didn’t shoot a lot at Amanda & Robin’s wedding in Key Largo but I love what I did shoot and these are my favorites. All of these are 35mm Portra 400 shot on our Nikon N80.
