I have been dying to post these. The past two weeks have been nuts with travel and now a hurricane heading right toward us, but this session was such an unbelievable amount of fun. It’s a hall-of-famer for sure for us. We initially met up with Sam & Chas for a beer and they are so hilarious and easy to talk to, and we may have gone on several tangents about Game of Thrones and basically we knew we loved them immediately. Fun Facts:

♥ They loooove football, which you are about to see. Chas routes for the home team (the Bucs and the ‘Noles). Sam loves the Pats and not so much my Tom Brady jokes. But it’s ok because he’s a goat or something.

♥ They have two dogs, Rondo and Zooey, who aren’t in any photos but helped tremendously with picking up popcorn after set #2.

♥  They love superheroes like Spider-Man, Harry Potter and have what I can only describe as subtle easter eggs around their house to other geeky things like framed newspaper articles about Doc Brown. Evan wants to live there now. 

They wanted to do something offbeat for their engagement photos, basically with the theme being sarcasm and, since Evan and I love making fun of ourselves too, we were totally game. We met up again to plan out the different sets and attire and came with some funny concepts together. On the day of the session we started at Ale House where they met and work as bartenders. Bartender jokes are funny you guys. These shots are much closer to our commercial style than weddings but who cares because look at how fun they are! 

For the second set we went to their house and got some shots of them as they would be on a Saturday or Sunday watching football. I’ve never done a ring shot with chicken wings before, and it was amazing. Though the shot above with Sam’s ring with Jameson being poured on it is my favorite. Popcorn flew and we made a total mess but also how great is that Spider-Man poster?! Seriously this session was long and lots of work but so worth it with how much fun we had.

Then, Sam & Chas had a game of ping-pong. In full-on athletic attire. And Sam apparently always kicks his ass so we had to show that. Maid of Honor refereeing and all. We did these at 3 Daughter’s Brewing and obviously had to include beer because they are having their own variety brewed for the wedding! We didn’t know that was a thing and now that we do we are telling everyone.

And last we had to get a few “cute” shots of the two of them, but also playing on their phones. BECAUSE HOW REALISTIC IS THIS?! This is all of us and you know it. I can’t wait for their wedding next April.
