I telling you, it’s always when a couple close to us gets married that I get stuck with blogging. I am so thrilled that Teresa & Michelle are married now but I can’t help but be sad that their engagement is over because we see them less now! We’ve become so close to this family y’all, they are Caroline & Evan #goals for sure. Teresa taught our daughter how to swim and we’ll be forever thankful for Remy having that amazing skill thanks to “Miss T”. Even though Remy was constantly asking to ask Miss T to bring the kids over instead of go to swim lessons, lol. Those 3 beautiful girls on the right are her teenage daughters and each time we got together we enjoyed their goofiness and bright spirits.
With a same sex wedding, it’s not as intuitive of who Evan goes with and who I go with during getting ready time. We either have the couple choose or, with Teresa & Michelle, it made sense for me to be with Teresa since she had a lot more details. This included a gown fit for a Disney princess and Mickey earrings! (see if you can spot the hidden Mickey’s on her bouquet.) Both ladies looked absolutely gorgeous! They totally deserved the best day but of course we got a hurricane that weekend in October. Remember Hurricane Matthew? I was so stressed that whole week, worried that the storm would turn toward us but luckily it didn’t. However, crazy wind gusts did make the ceremony move from the beach to the ballroom and the reception from the roof of Hotel Zamora down to the pool deck. It was still fantastic and we got a beautiful sunset. You couldn’t put a damper on the day, even with 30mph winds, because these two were so happy to be saying “forever” to one another. They’re both so giving and they deserve all the happiness!
The last email that I just are with this wedding is Teresa had her ex husband give her away. It was so sweet and meaningful- they even did a dance together. I love seeing their friendship! Family is so important to Michelle & Teresa and their wedding really showed that.
I love their first look, they wanted to touch before turning around and it was too sweet!
I don’t usually share family formals images but this family cracks me up! It is so awesome that Teresa has a great relationship with her ex husband, and you can see why their girls have such great personalities.
Congrats you two- we need to get together soon!
