This wedding was a super personal one for us. Evan is cousins with Josh so they grew up together and Josh & Kelly have been together for a long time (they’re high school sweethearts like us) so we’ve thought of her as family for a while. We don’t shoot every friend or family member’s wedding just because we are wedding photographers, it has to be a great fit. As it turns out Kelly and Evan are like the same person. Being Kelly & Josh’s wedding photographers let us be a part of their wedding day and their lives in a way that just being cousins could’t have fulfilled. It was definitely WAY better because we are cousins and our whole family was part of the celebration. But we would genuinely be friends with them even if we weren’t blood. We had so much fun with them every step of the way and are so excited that they’ve started their married life together! Now for the photos- this was such a great day. Even though it rained during all the portraits, we made due with overhangs, picnic shelters and rooftop drizzling for some killer portraits. Everyone at the reception had a blast, including us, and we just love the dancing shots at the end. And there’s nothing like seeing your Mother and Father in law grooving to “Blurred Lines” on the dance floor. Look closely and you might even spy Evan :)

Did you see Evan dancing with his mom? It was fun so much fun, Evan even jumped into one of the family formal photos! There’s even a shot of Carri & Craig, one of our past couples, in there. I hope we get to shoot more Lakeland wedding photography in the future, we had fun exploring the area while we were there. Congrats again Kelly & Josh!
