Oh my gosh this family. Bumby is a fellow photographer and she had me shoot a family session for them during their vacation on Treasure Island this month. It is crazy awesome when a photographer hires you because we are pretty picky people and know exactly what we want. I love working with photographers for that reason and Bumby and her family were a joy to capture. Travis was actually deployed for a long stint until recently and these are the first family photos of their whole family together! They are such a fun group and I had a blast getting to know Maverick, Raylan and Sawyer (do these kids have the coolest names ever?) Here are some of my favorites from their session on Madeira Beach. Can you believe it was actually raining almost the entire session? We met up close to John’s Pass so we could duck under the bridge but we started on the beach and after about 2 shutter clicks it was raining. I promised her my camera would work through it and we kept shooting and I’m so glad we did. One of my favorite shots is actually the one where they are all soaked! That’s what family is about right, weathering the storms and making the best out of situations? I’m so happy that they are all reunited. Thank you for your service, Travis, and for all the sacrifices your family has made for our country.
