Oh this wedding y’all. We knew it was going to be awesome but sometimes you really just don’t know how awesome until it’s happening. Kim & Alan had a really unique schedule for their events- we did typical getting ready time and then a first look with them in North Straub Park. Then we met up with the bridal party and family at Nova 535 for the formals during cocktail hour which happened before the ceremony. It was a really relaxed and fun way to plan everything and it made it so we could complete all portraits during daylight before their evening ceremony in the garden at Nova 535. Once the sun went down pink uprights and candles illuminated the courtyard- it was incredibly romantic! Evan an I were so excited for the challenge of shooting at night and we absolutely are in love with the final product. Plus these two are just incredible, fun and hilarious to be around. Kim actually injured her ACL the week before the wedding and had to be on a crutch most of the time, but she was still on cloud 9 all day long. I loved Kim’s blush bridal gown and the bridesmaids mismatched pink and bush gowns, and even their bouquets were all different. Then when the reception started they had really unique food that included a bacon bar station (hello!) and tons of desserts. The dancing was off the charts and one of Kim’s favorite details were the specialty linens, especially for their sweetheart table. Elan Event Studio and 2Birds Florist really outdid themselves.
