Hopefully you enjoyed seeing Tiffany & Brad’s wedding blog post yesterday! If you missed it, go check it out. Perhaps you’re ready for some more behind the scenes with Caroline & Evan? It’s been 3 weeks since we got home from Asheville North Carolina and with the weather cooling here in Florida I feel like I brought that crisp mountain air home with me. When Tiffany & Brad first told us they were moving their wedding from Orlando, Florida to Asheville, North Carolina we were a mix of excited and nervous- after all, destination weddings have a different workflow and many added elements of planning- not just with travel but with how we back up our data, keep our gear safe, staying within your budget and preparing for any unexpected things that pop up (and they always do). Overall we had a wonderful trip and the experience of shooting in the Blue Ridge mountains was incredible.
We of course took some behind the scenes photos of each other during portrait and detail time, so I wanted to share those. First up, Evan pulling the car up to take us down the mountain to the filed for portraits, hime being a goof, and my amused face. You know we like to have fun while we work!
Then Evan shooting in the field, no snakes this time!
Arrived at the venue and capturing detail shots.
You will often find me straightening place settings and table details to make them look perfect.
Evan’s signature tall-guy-over-the-table-shot.
Some direction and then me laughing behind the camera. Love the final shot!
Walking among the grapevines…
Evan grabbing a classic shot as the light starts getting nice and golden.
And another one of Evan shooting and his final edited shot.
I think this is maybe one of my favorite photos ever. Evan posing Brad, me getting my light on Tiffany and our final two shots taken simultaneously. THIS is teamwork you guys!
I love this one Evan grabbed of me during dinner. I’m a ninja, stealthy in the grapevines waiting for the perfect moment….
And then I find it and shoot!
This is just me being adorable and cold. Prettiest sunset and getting to shoot in cozy clothes and boots was a treat.
We seriously had so much fun one this trip. We’ve been pretty lucky to be traveling for about 2-3 destination weddings or engagements each year. We’ll be in New York City next in December! And we’re hoping to keep it up with some trips around and outside of Florida in 2017 and 2018.
