Well we had an amazing time in Key Largo this past weekend! The trip was a combination of business and pleasure; we joined my in-laws at The Ocean Reef Club during a conference Evan’s Dad was attending for a mini vacation, but we also had the chance to scout some locations for our upcoming Key Largo wedding next year at The Hilton Key Largo Resort. While we were at Ocean Reef Club, we went ahead and explored there too in case we ever have the opportunity to shoot a wedding there. Ocean Reef was fantastic and there were so many incredible portrait locations. There is even have a cute little chapel on the property. I hope we get to shoot here some day with one of our couples, we’d love to be more frequent Florida Keys wedding photographers.

The day before we left we took a fun day to go kayaking, snorkeling and most importantly find a dive of a restaurant to eat seafood at. Then we took off to explore the Hilton Key Largo Resort where we will be shooting Amanda & Robin’s wedding next March! This venue is absolutely gorgeous. There are endless portrait locations and some incredible architecture, so we will have a lot to work with next season. Along the walkway to the wedding beach there was a series of trees with tons of hearts carved with couple’s initials. I’m already thinking about how I can incorporate this into the detail shots!
