Obviously as photographers, we want you to print your photos. I’ll never understand the point of spending thousands on wedding photography and then never ordering a wedding album or large prints to hang in your house. I’ve been wanting to start a series with some alternatives to wedding albums that still get your images printed and displayed in your home. I figured, what better way then to show you our favorite products that we use. Personally, Evan and I prefer displaying photos from sessions of us in the form of big canvas groupings. We have a lot of white walls in our house so these big gallery wraps are perfect for displaying our favorite moments and bringing color into our rooms. This first grouping is in our living room as son as you walk into our home. The main image is a large 24″ x 36″ canvas and the three smaller images are 10″ x 10″. These images are from our 5 year anniversary session 3 years ago with Brandi Morris and are some of my favorite of us.
The other big grouping in our house is in our dining room. These are photos from our first family session after Remy was born. These shots by Jessica Charles are so colorful and just so ‘us’, and I love looking at our chunky little newborn everyday. The largest (top) canvas is 16″ x 24″, the lower larger canvas is 16″ x 20″ and the smaller canvases are 10″ x 10″.
We have various single canvases in our bedroom and our office as well. If the photos were hiding in our computer we wouldn’t get to enjoy them everyday. I have a couple of other fun ways that I display and organize photos and I’ll be sharing those next month!
